Sally (Satyapremji), a disciple of Swami Giri, shares her experience of witnessing the meeting of two great Spiritual Beings:
After completing the Kannabe Kogen Festival Manmaru and the yagya pilgrimage at Ray Village, a connection led to the moment when Sai Maa and Swamiji met in Minami Izu.
I had actually heard of Sai Maa a year ago, when Makoto Kobayashi gave me a DVD of Sai Maa’s Maha Yagya (the world’s largest Goma ceremony outside of India) held in Japan in 2016. I never imagined that the opportunity for Sai Maa and Swamiji to meet would come so soon, a year later.
On the day of Sai Maa’s Darshan event, Sai Maa made special time for Swamiji, allowing us to meet in a relaxed atmosphere with a small group.
Stepping inside Sai Maa House was a completely different experience from the outside. We were greeted by the aroma of fragrant Agarbatti (incense) and shown to our room.
When I first met Sai Maa, whose name is Lakshmi, she exuded elegance. But this elegance wasn’t just ordinary elegance—it was divine elegance. Everything was graceful, beautiful, refined, and filled with praise and deep love for God. Sai Maa’s energy permeated the entire Sai Maa House. I felt that just being in that space would bring healing and happiness to those who visited.
Since Sai Maa’s birthday was approaching, an early birthday celebration was held, and the house was filled with a truly joyful atmosphere. I learned that Sai Maa would be turning 72 on August 2nd, the same age as Swamiji. Since Swamiji was born in February, he was slightly older. It was a complete miracle that they were the same age, that Swamiji’s Darshan was on Sai Maa’s birthday, and that I was actually able to meet her.
Sai Maa is not only incredibly elegant, but she also plays a vital role in healing and guiding those who seek her. She truly is a “Maa” (mother, in this case, a spiritual, motherly meaning).
Swamiji and Sai Maa spoke about holding events together, transcending sectarian differences, to guide people to awakening. It was a truly wonderful meeting. I am so grateful to have been able to participate in this auspicious moment and to be part of the energy field that was born when these two great beings met.
Sai Maa invited us to meditate privately for about an hour the next morning before we left. At first, she suggested it be just Sai Maa, Swamiji, and me, but I felt it should be just Sai Maa and Swamiji meditating together, so I agreed.
That morning, I felt a surge of energy ever since I woke up. I quickly fell into silence, to the point where I was unable to do much three-dimensional work (like packing). I was so glad I was able to leave the driving to fellow colleague, Kazumin.
When we entered Sai Maa House, the mood of yesterday’s birthday Darshan had completely changed, and a space of mauna (silence) befitting the beautiful morning spread out before us. After escorting Swamiji to the room where Sai Maa and he would be meditating, three others and I sat quietly on the first floor. Naturally, we all began meditating.
As Swamiji and Sai Maa meditated upstairs, a dignified, strong, and beautiful energy began to spread throughout the downstairs area. Anyone who understood this energy wanted to sit down. It was impossible not to tune in. It would be a shame to talk at a time like this!
As I sat in silence, I had many visions for the first time in a long time, and the theme was white light. I had a vision of Swamiji sending a large, powerful beam of white energy from his third eye and chest area to Sai Maa.
A sign came down, indicating the meditation was over, and the energy gradually shifted to a calm, relaxed, and conversational one.
