For example, if your online account has a Manage Beneficiaries page, you can choose the Charity category and enter this exact wording: Humanity in Unity dba MAA Humanitarian. Contact your plan administrator, bank, or insurance company if they require a Change Beneficiary Form.

If you are 70 ½ years old or older, you can take advantage of a simple way to give to MAA Humanitarian and receive tax benefits in return (in the US). You can give up to $100,000 per year from your IRA directly to a qualified non-profit without having to pay income taxes on the money.

When planning your estate or updating your will, have your financial planner or attorney add MAA Humanitarian as beneficiary in your will or trust. You can use the language below as a guide:
I hereby bequeath to Humanity in Unity dba MAA Humanitarian, a non-profit corporation, headquartered at 191 University Blvd, Suite 806, Denver, CO 80206, and with tax identification number of 68-0459156, _____ % (insert percentage of estate to be given) OR $_____ (exact dollar amount) to be used for general purpose: determined by the MAA Humanitarian Board of Directors.

Transferring stocks, bonds, or mutual funds directly to MAA Humanitarian in your estate plan is a great tax saving strategy for your heirs.
Set up the beneficiary with your financial planner or broker. If you do not have a financial planner or broker, you can set this up yourself in your brokerage account. Contact your account holder for the details.

Donate your real property, for example a home, vacation home, land, commercial property to MAA Humanitarian on in your estate plan.
Simply execute or sign a deed transferring ownership of all or part of your real property to Humanity in Unity dba MAA Humanitarian. Your gift will generally be based on the property’s fair market value, which must be established by an independent appraisal. Please contact your attorney or estate planner for assistance.
